Service Description

The art and skills of a counselor often are enhanced during the period in which we seek and maintain supervision. As counselors we often are confronted by ethical dilemmas that are resolved on through seeking and finding supervision. This presentation explores the ethics of professional counseling in the state of Georgia. As we explore two models of supervision that are grounded in the focus on the good elements of human psychology the connection. By connecting the Ethic’s of supervision to models based on the focus of the good in people, it helps to develop a deeper understanding of the application of ethic’s to supervision. The purpose of the course is help the supervisor learn the importance of gatekeeping and the proper documentation being developed for current use in Georgia as a CPCS. The presentation also provides methods of supervision that focus on developing the of each person’s potential. By exploring these two methods it become a demonstration of how positive methods of supervision are an effective to help build future counselors and maintain self care standards as a supervisor.
